Just before we broke up, we enjoyed the chocolate bingo at Claughton Village Hall. Our Friends of Claughton organised a lovely event and we thank everybody who came and all of the parents who helped. We look forward to our summer social, which will be upon us before we know it!
We held a music and arts open afternoon for parents, governors and the community to drop in and join in with art work in the classrooms and to see our school band rehearsing for our next collaboration concert…
Bruce, the reading dog (I think he only comes for a little nap), is a favourite visitor of the children’s and we thought it would be nice to raise some more money for charity. We held a cake sale on the same day as the open afternoon to raise funds for ‘Pets as Therapy’-we thank parents who donated very tasty cakes and the children who had a ‘bakathon’ in school to provide delicious cakes and treats for the charity-we raised £105!
The children in Blossom Class had a great time with some small visitors, two little lambs…thank you Mr Miller for bringing them to us!
Mass is always lovely and we had a great Ascension Day before breaking up. It is great to welcome so many families and parishioners to our Masses…
