Working with Lancaster Homeless Shelter
We enjoyed a whole school assembly with Phil from the Lacnaster Homeless Shelter and we are collecting warm clothes to help those who need a little more support.
CAFOD CLUB
We are collecting for the local food bank. The children from CAFOD Club are taking the food to Garstang foodbank and they are having a meeting with the council representitives there to see how we can continue supporting the worthy cause thrugh the year. The children have emailed the foodbank and they have made posters which are displayed around school.
CAFOD CLUB – WORLD GIFTS
Christine Dewhurst from CAFOD visits our school often to work with us on world initiatives. We will be working with OLCHS to join the high school faith in action group to make our world a kinder and more caring place to be.
The CAFOD Club raised £80 from their two stalls at the Christmas Fair!
Children in the CAFOD Club decided to create a ‘Name the Rudolf’ stall and ‘Guess the Sweets in the Jar’ stall. Children helped run the stalls and promoted the work of CAFOD to help others across the world! The money was spent on:
- A Sewing Machine
- Chirpy Chickens
- Emergency Water
- School Starter Pack
- Vegetable Garden
- 7. A Queen Bee
