Reading and Spellings

As a school, we expect all children to read their school reading book at home daily. Please remember to record this in your child’s reading record to enable them to fill their reading rainbow! We also encourage you to immerse your child within a reading environment at home too – this can be through bedtime stories or audio books in the car! Our story time at the end of the day is also a change for us to see the class book vote, and to also share books from home! It is so lovely to see the children bring these in for their friends to enjoy too!

Spellings are set weekly and are based on our Phonics during the week and the common exception words we have encountered.
